| The House
Vault House was built over two hundred years ago under the direction of Eastnor Estate.
In the 19th century Vault House was a tavern for the residents of Hollybush and the surrounding area. It was also the quarryman's house.
Directly behind the house is Hollybush Quarry which is now disused. The high cliffs of the quarry provide a nesting place for peregrine falcons.
We have now completed the renovations and extension that were begun by the previous owners, with many original features such as oak beams, inglenooks and timbered walls remaining.
The garden has been terraced, two ponds have been dug out and a greenhouse constructed. |
Besides the peregrines, some historic items can be seen in the quarry.
